Competition winners – these guys are awesome.

Last week we announced the winners of our YouTube competition. Lucky Laura with her brilliant video about London came to our London office (just across the road from London College of Fashion where she’s studying) to collect her juicy cheque.

Laura wins the first prize

It was fantastic to meet Laura and chat about all the crazy antics she gets up to with Tecmo Koei Europe as their official cosplayer (whatever that is) – perhaps you can work it out on this video.  Since she is at uni so close to our offices, we’re hopefully going to do some fun video work together in the future, so do keep your eyes peeled.

Runner up

Our second prize winner was Odin from Eindhoven, but since they weren’t just across the street, we posted their cheque to them, and they sent us this short video in return.

Best comment

But that’s not all, we also have a stonking great £300 to award for the best comment that was made on the original video by AmazingPhil. We had over 1000 comments to choose from, and it took us literally hours to whittle it down to the shortlist of 11 that were voted on last week. The winning comment received over 45% of the vote, and the cheque will be shortly heading to Harrymyc from Nottingham.

Why do I think Nottingham is the best city? Are you serious? As far as I know it’s fact. I mean, where to start! We’ve got 50,000 students and that means serious partying! Robin hood lived here, we have Nottingham castle. In the summer the square has it’s own beach! We have McDonald on every street corner, and theatres, cinemas, loads of bars, clubs and pubs and the people are awesome. I love the buskers on the street, they play the best music I’ve ever heard in any city. Nottingham is the best!

It was a real pleasure to watch all the videos and learn about your cities: not only in the UK, but all over the world. We’d like to thank everyone who participated, your engagement really matters to us! We will definitely do something of the sort very soon again-so stick around!
