2011 Festival Fashion

It’s that time of the year again – FESTIVAL SEASON! The weather can always be hit and miss and it’s always difficult to plan ahead, so you need to prepare yourself for anything that may come your way. I remember when I went to a festival 2 years ago and all I had was my wellies to wear… my feet were on fire! No rain, no nothing… We just had pure sunshine throughout the whole weekend. Whoops. However, saying that you need to prepare for the worst (and best, of course), you don’t need to forget the rules of fashion either – you can play it safe and be comfortable, yet still look like a style goddess!

Here are three outfits I created from various high-street stores that are perfect for your festival weekend.

Sheer shirts and fringed bags are great for festivals. Keep cool and fashionable, along with being able to carry everything you need throughout the day! If the weather is a bit cold, throw on some leggings underneath some shorts to keep your legs that little bit warmer. End the outfit with a nice big chunky ring and a parka mac – easy to carry, so you don’t freeze in the evening or get wet!

The top priority in footwear – wellies! Make sure you wear some socks with them to avoid your feet and legs rubbing against them. If you’re walking in them all day, you need to feel comfortable! Accessorise with oversized jewellery to finish the look – nothing too extreme though, as the pattern on the playsuit will do all the talking!

Unleash the hippy in you and wear a headband to keep your hair at bay (or make one using real daisies if you want to/can find some!). Whatever the weather, dresses are great to throw on with some ankle boots. Knee high socks are also very useful if the sun hasn’t come out to play, and are very fashionable too!
