Cheeky DIYs for a Rainy Weekend

While we may be enjoying this short re-emergence of summer, it never hurts to have a few DIY projects lined up for when the sun turns to clouds and the rain and cold start making their presence known. Here are a few projects I recommend for those rainy days.

I’m a big Photojojo fan and was given this book for Christmas. It’s so wonderful. In this simple DIY, Photojojo show you how to use old negatives to make pretty candle holders.

Summer Bracelets DIY

I squealed a bit when I saw this DIY, as we used to make these when I was in my early teens at school. I had completely forgotten about them, but they’re simple, quick, and very effective. How to Make a DIY Felt Owl Brooch

Laura Howard, otherwise known as Lupin, runs this amazing Etsy store, and is a craftster extraordinaire who makes the most lovely things from felt you’ve ever seen. Her blog Bugs and Fishes goes through some of the processes in her work and provides some excellent tutorials. I love this one for making a DIY felt owl brooch. It’s super simple and looks amazing.

DIY Striped T-Shirt in Three Easy Steps

If you’re after some fresh looks for your tees, then check out this simple tutorial. All you need is some outdoor space, a spray bottle, duct tape and some bleach. Simples!
