Style Birmingham Live – Town Hall Catwalk Show

If you read my last post, you may have been wondering why George Lamb became a hologram. Well, that’s because the real thing was a few minutes down the road at Birmingham’s Town Hall, hosting the official Style Birmingham Live Catwalk Show.

Showcasing the best glamour available in Birmingham, it was a half Clothes Show and half London Fashion Week. What I mean by that is the catwalk constantly in use with models strutting their stuff, with the added entertainment of each theme being ‘acted out’. I wouldn’t go to say it was on the same scale as the Clothes Show, but some models did act out the mood of each scene by expressing feelings, movement and dance before the walking commenced. It made you think about how the clothes represent more than just ‘nice skirt’ or ‘I’m wearing a coat because I’m cold’. They can also represent your mood on the day or a specific time/place in your life that interests you, such as Russia, which is a huge inspiration for some winter collections. Each theme was as dramatic as the next, and it was a great pleasure to watch!

It cost £10 for a ticket to attend Style Birmingham Live this year or £30 for VIP. If you’re interested in attending next year, check out their website for more information soon.
