Afternoon Tea Party
I was first attracted to this deal for afternoon tea for two at The Mercure Bloomsbury Hotel London as I have always wanted to try a traditional English afternoon tea. I’m from New Zealand and we have no such formalities like this, so I thought this was a fantastic opportunity to take my Mum out for her birthday for champagne, tea and cakes.
Upon our arrival we were welcomed by a very pleasant and cheerful man named Gerald who was already standing and waiting at the door for us. “Are you here for afternoon tea ladies? This way please”, he exclaimed. The royal treatment had begun and we were both very excited.

After the first course of strawberries and champagne, we were then presented with an amazing selection of cakes, brownies, scones; not to mention a monuntain of sandwiches ranging from cucumber, ham and cheese to scrumptious smoked salmon. We were both feeling very special and well-to-do indeed.

We had an unforgettable afternoon and I was happy to be able to organise my Mum a lovely day out in London, and thanks to Groupon they made the whole experience affordable and luxurious. I was very impressed by the Mercure Bloomsbury and we will definitely be going back to this delightful hotel. The service was excellent and the food was delicious; the £22 I paid for this Groupon voucher was very much worth every penny.

I whole heartedly recommend you experience going for afternoon tea with a Groupon deal, especially if you’re looking for something sophisticated and unique to experience that you might not usually indulge in otherwise. Groupon offer so many afternoon tea deals on a daily basis, like this one at Buffers Restaurant: Champagne Afternoon Tea For Two (£10) or Four (£16) – that’s over 60% off!. Keep an eye out in your city for deal near you and as we say in New Zealand – go for it!
