Heart Shaped Strawberry Scones

Ingredients:
- 450g Self Raising Flour
- 120g Unsalted Butter
- 50g Caster Sugar
- 100g Chopped Fresh Strawberries
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- Milk (approx 1/4 cup)
- Preheat your oven to 190 oC / 375 oF, then rub together your butter and flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Stir in the sugar and strawberries.
- Then stir in the Bicarbonate of Soda and Salt.
- Finally add the milk, a little at a time, mixing until you have a soft dough that is slightly sticky
- Once your dough is ready, lightly flour a flat surface and roll the dough out to a 1 inch thickness. Using a cutter, cut out the scones – I made about 12 small heart shaped scones from this recipe.
- Pop onto a lined baking tray and bake or 12-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire tray.
- Finally, fill the scones with double or clotted cream and strawberry jam. These would be perfect with afternoon tea!

Have a great Valentines Day and rest of the week!
