Tartan Day is a celebration of Scottish heritage held on April 6, the date on which the Declaration of Arbroath was signed in 1320, confirming Scotland’s status as an independent sovereign state.
Here at Groupon we love our pets. From pampered pooches to treasured tortoises we have them all! But not all pets are as spoiled as ours and sadly, some suffer neglect and abuse and rely on the kindness of strangers to nurse them back to health and happiness.
This Easter weekend Groupon Grassroots have partnered up with the RSPCA Norwich and Mid-Norfolk to raise funds for the veterinary care of poorly treated cats and dogs in the local area.
With a change in leadership at Groupon in the last few weeks, we now have two interim co-CEOs – Executive Chairman Eric Lefkofsky and Vice Chairman Ted Leonsis, who will share the CEO duties.
The latter, Ted Leonsis, is a very interesting man indeed. He owns an NBA and NHL franchise, and he was one of the major figures behind rise and success of AOL – a true veteran of the “dotcom” bubble. He also has his very own, a widely popular blog, ‘Ted’s Take’, on the US based sport and entertainment site – The Monumental Network.
