The Groupon Goods team strive to ensure that we feature quality products on Groupon. One way in which we achieve this is by travelling around the country to visit potential new partners. Senior Quality Assurance Technologist Steve Bland takes us behind the scenes to show what lengths we go to to bring the best possible deals.
Welcome to “The Week that Was…”, our weekly update of Groupon’s coverage in the media.
Although not strictly Groupon news, Danny Cipriani was making headlines last week as he was unfortunately involved in a road traffic accident. Although Danny was sent to hospital, thankfully his injuries were not too serious and he is now on his way to making a good recovery.
If you’re a fan of either our Groupon UK, Groupon Northern Ireland, or Groupon Ireland Facebook pages, you’ll most probably have seen our “Groupoff Bake-On”.
Sugary treats of all sizes, shapes and scrummy scents arrived at the office and we gave our fans the chance to vote for their favourite by liking the picture. The winner of this ‘Fans Award’ was Editorial team member Biff Burrows, with his extremely delicious Vanilla Fudge Crunch cake. Biff has kindly shared the recipe for our fans to enjoy below!
To say the staff at Groupon are “full of beans” is a statement that’s certainly true, and in some cases literal. They’re also full of Mexican chill, lentil & spinach, and even Thai chicken; all thanks to the soups at the Swan Lane cafe, keeping our staff pepped and ready throughout the day.
Groupon Grassroots are joining forces with Together for Short Lives to help promote Children’s Hospice Week. This is the UK’s only awareness and fundraising week for children with life-limiting conditions and the services, like children’s hospices, that support them. It takes place this year between 26 April and 3 May.
