Just under two hours train journey from King’s Cross is the town of Wakefield, one of the North’s most exciting artistic hubs and home to Neon Workshops. Incredibly passionate about his work, contemporary artist Richard Wheater has been running the 2.5 hour workshop since 2008. His aim is to shine a light on the neon art industry by teaching curious creatives the ways of neon; covering cutting, fusing and filling with gas.

Up at the O2

The O2 Arena originally had plans to build a rooftop walkway when it was the Millennium Dome but sadly these plans fell through. Fortunately, under the new ownership of O2, the walkway was completed in June 2012. Up at the O2 is a once in a lifetime experience, giving adventurous types the opportunity to see the capital in a whole new way as they take on the climb to conquer the icon.
